It’s May already?! This year is flying by and we’ve had another month of exciting things happening at Merley House. Find out more on the blog here!

Party Competition

It hardly seems possible but it was almost a month ago, that we announced the winner of our party competition! In case you haven’t seen the very funny video by Clare, you can view it here!

May Weddings

May was somewhat quiet in terms of weddings but with the terrible weather we’ve had, maybe it’s not such a bad thing!

Mr and Mrs Abbott concluded their wedding day with an evening party at Merley House. Their wedding décor had a real spring feel and was beautifully simplistic.

Mr and Mrs Stock also chose Merley House for their special day this month. Their décor had a spring and woodland feel with beautiful peachy flowers.

Psychic and Holistic Fayre

To raise money for Leukaemia charity, Leaf (Leukaemia Educating and Fundraising), a Psychic and Holistic Fayre was held at Merley House. The fayre consisted of craft stalls, psychic mediums, therapies, astrology, readers and more.

New Website

After months of hard work, our website has been completed! Our website now looks sleek and modern, all thanks to Project24. To see our new website, go here.

Brussels

As part of an ongoing project researching the history of Merley House, we were lucky enough to visit a museum in Brussels that holds the sculpture of John Willett. His nephew was Ralph Willett, the man responsible for the Merley House we see today, and the sculpture was sculpted as a tribute to his uncle.

There is so much more to say about our trip to Brussels, so keep an eye out for our upcoming blog next week! You can do this following our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages to keep up to date!
